this picture was drawn as a gift for my friend when she go to study abroad. this painting is the association of three impressive symbols of Vietnamese culture. the first is "áo dài" (Vietnamese dress) of a graceful Vietnamese girl. The second is lotus flower, although Vietnam still does not have any national flower but in the Viets mind, lotus always plays the most important role among the flowers for a long time in the Buddhism culture. So we can see it as an symbol in Vietnamese culture. the last is the biggest remaining palace of ancient Vietnam, it located at Hue city, ancient capital of Vietnam, of course, it also represent for Vietnamese culture.
